Coaches TimeOut is a weekend retreat for you and your spouse to take an intentional timeout to help catch your breath, evaluate where you are and refocus on the game plan. Enjoy quality time with your spouse, break down barriers, build authentic relationship within your marriage and leave feeling encouraged as you step back into coaching and the rhythms of life!

Meet the Speaker

Mike Tatlock is the lead pastor at Grace Chapel church in Portland, Oregon. He is Chaplain for the Portland Trail Blazers and the founder of Vertical Pursuit, a discipleship equipping resource and podcast. A frequent teacher at workshops, seminaries, and churches around the world, his pastoral experience includes leading within urban, inner-city, and suburban churches.

  • What is Coaches TimeOut?

    Coaches TimeOut (CTO) is a weekend-getaway designed for a coach and their spouse to reconnect, relax and refresh. CTO is also designed to encourage and equip coaches to focus on their marriage.

  • What should I pack?

    • Attire for the weekend is casual.
    • Meeting rooms can be chilly – we recommend that you bring a jacket.
    • Necessary attire if you choose to use pool, spa or any activities.

  • When should I arrive?

    Hotel check-in begins at 4PM.


    FCA event registration begins at 6PM, with our event running from 7 - 9:30PM. We will begin our evening with a dessert & coffee reception, no dinner will be provided.

  • What does my registration cover?

    • Hotel room for two nights
    • Meals Covered:
    1. Friday -Dessert
    2. Saturday- Breakfast & Dinner
    3. Sunday - Breakfast 
    • All Conference and Breakout Sessions

  • Can I bring my kids?

    This weekend is designed specifically to serve coaches and their spouses, so, unfortunately, this is a kid-free weekend. Nursing babies and under 1 are welcome.

  • What if something comes up and we can't make it?

    Due to the limited availability of spots, in the event that you are unable to attend our Coaches TimeOut, please let Cam know, at camwatilo@fca.org. Also, please note that we are able to offer a 50% refund up until Jan. 3rd, then a 25% refund after Jan. 3rd and before Jan. 23rd. After Jan. 23rd, we are unable to offer a refund due to the nature of payment required to Skamania Lodge.
