“For physical training is of some value, but godliness holds value in all things, in this present life, and the life to come.” 1 Timothy 4:8

Discipleship Meets Athletic Training

Ascent is a Christ-focused discipleship initiative developing athletes in all three dimensions: body, mind, and spirit.

As an extension of Greater Salem Fellowship of Christian Athletes, we train athletes to be physically powerful, mentally adaptable, and spiritually strong. We offer elite level speed and power training at an affordable cost and help athletes experience victory in the love of Jesus.

Small Group Meets Adult Training

As followers of Christ we believe that a life of health and wholeness is for everybody.  Our adult training groups have an emphasis on high intensity interval training (HIIT) and are designed to maximize your fitness potential. We believe that accountability has an important role with both spiritual and physical health, and our group classes aim to foster an encouraging environment and connect you to a Christ-centered community.

PHILOSOPHY OF TRAINING

--Fun for all--
We believe that whether you are an adult staying active, or an athlete trying to improve in your sport, physical training should be fun! We are going to work hard and give glory to God in our struggle, but all in all, we will never forget to enjoy the journey.

--Healthy Athletes--
When it comes to coaching young athletes, we at Ascent believe in a “health first” model. Our goal is to help athletes build a wide foundation of functional fitness that helps them peak in their athletic season, while keeping them in the game.

--Technical focus--
At Ascent we also place a major emphasis on technical training and the mechanics of movement. We believe that technically proficient movements are key for becoming better athletes and staying injury free.

--Christ Centered--
Our coaching will always point to Jesus as our savior, our source of strength, and our ultimate hope! We believe that when Christ is at the center of our lives we will be better people, leaders, and athletes.
