We train the athlete as a whole person- body, mind and soul. Ascent began because we noticed how physical training developed mental resilience and allowed us to experience victory in Jesus. We want to mentor young athletes as they face challenges in life outside of sports. Through holistic training we empower athletes to grow into healthy adults that persevere in competition and in life.
We emphasize technique and mechanics of movement to teach athletes in a way that prevents injury. Some of the movements we focus on are plyometric and power movements, agility and multi-directional power, and running technique.
Our focus is not sport-specific, instead we build a wide base of foundational strength and conditioning. Learning how to move effectively and building strength benefits athletes in every sport. A foundation of mental adaptability cultivates grit in the game and in life.
“For physical training is of some value, but godliness holds value in all things, in this present life, and the life to come.” 1 Timothy 4:8
